A personal reflection on starting early, learning with intention, and shaping a sustainable architecture career with purpose.

A reflection on Christmas in Brazil, the conventions we repeat, and the possibility of reinterpreting decoration as a gesture of pause, encounter, and transition to a new cycle that goes from Christmas to the New Year.

Visiting CASACOR 2025 in the same year I began architecture school expanded my understanding of interior design. Each space revealed how color, light, sound, form, and concept work together to create atmospheres that are felt before they are understood.

The Earthshot Prize 2025 marked a historic moment by taking place in Brazil and awarding global solutions to the environmental crisis. Among the winners, highlights included a Brazilian startup and an architectural project that demonstrated how design can be a real tool for climate transformation.

History is not something distant. It returns whenever humanity distances itself too much from nature. Art Nouveau was that in the past. Biophilic design is that today.

Throughout the semester, I learned how to graphically represent architectural projects, understanding norms, techniques and conventions. More than the tools themselves, this process revealed how drawing, especially by hand, is not just representation, but a way of thinking.

Cloud Dancer, the Pantone color of 2026, doesn't shout or compete for attention. It creates pause. A soft white that reflects the contemporary desire for clarity, visual silence, and aesthetic intention.

No segundo semestre da faculdade, participei do Workshop de Arquitetura Sustentável da UGREEN e descobri um universo de ferramentas, conceitos e tecnologias que transformaram meu olhar sobre projetar com propósito. De softwares climáticos a design biofílico, a experiência reforçou em mim que construir com consciência é mais do que tendência, é urgência e futuro.

O Prêmio Earthshot 2025 chega ao Brasil, no Museu do Amanhã, Rio de Janeiro, para reconhecer e impulsionar soluções inovadoras em sustentabilidade, enfrentando os maiores desafios ambientais do planeta. Com cinco categorias focadas em proteger a natureza, limpar o ar, reviver oceanos, eliminar desperdício e consertar o clima, o prêmio inspira uma nova era de transformações urgentes.

Ao assistir a um vídeo da UGREEN, me deparei com inovações arquitetônicas sustentáveis que reacenderam meu encantamento pela arquitetura, especialmente o micélio, um material vivo e biodegradável derivado de fungos. Neste post, compartilho como esse contato despertou uma nova consciência sobre construção responsável, materiais alternativos e o papel da arquitetura no futuro do planeta.

Ao assistir ao meu primeiro TCC de Arquitetura, me vi impactada por um projeto de hotel sustentável em Salvador, que vai além da estrutura e pensa a sustentabilidade na operação, no impacto urbano e até na reversibilidade da construção. A experiência me fez refletir sobre estética, surpresa e propósito nos espaços de hospedagem, e reacendeu em mim a vontade de projetar com mais consciência.

I started my degree now, in 2025.1. I was ready to study hard, scribble in notebooks, learn theory, maybe make one or two paper models. What I didn't expect was, at the first opportunity, to manage an architectural project with a real briefing, simulated client, tight deadlines, multidisciplinary team and technical deliveries. No meu primeiro semestre em Arquitetura, reencontrei o design com um novo olhar. A metodologia de Bruno Munari me apresentou um processo criativo mais profundo e estruturado, enquanto os estudos sobre cor transformaram minha percepção estética e emocional dos espaços. Neste relato, compartilho como essas descobertas impactaram minha trajetória e ampliaram minha visão sobre o papel da cor, da forma e da intenção nos projetos arquitetônicos.
